The designs for these pieces were first drawn (doodled) on napkins or scrap paper while I was attending medical meetings or conferences. Because I was sort of in a trance, not really concentrating on drawing, I call them “Subconscious Constructions”. While volunteering at the Arizona Science Center, a science museum in Phoenix, I first saw a laser cutter and thought it would be fun to try to cut my doodles out of wood. These are some of the earlier pieces made in 2017. Several of these designs were made in various sizes and colors in 2018-2019.
